Our Story | Community Impact & Charity Fundraising

Mission Born Out of Love

In 1988, a group of visionary Fort Worth businessmen saw a gap in our community—many underprivileged and at-risk children were missing out on the joy of receiving gifts during the holiday season. They founded CCFW with a focused mission to make a tangible impact on these children's lives.

Our first initiative, the Fort Worth Margarita Charity Ball, was a strategic move designed to generate community involvement and support. Initially exclusive to invitees, this formal event required attendees to bring new unwrapped toys. These toys were then distributed to ten local nonprofit organizations serving children in need, maximizing community participation and impact.

Our Growth and Impact

Expanding Our Reach

Over the years, CCFW has adapted and expanded its focus beyond toys to address more comprehensive needs such as clothing, school supplies, and electronic devices. Today, we support 11 vetted charities, ensuring a holistic approach to child welfare. In 2023 alone, we allocated over $85,000 to 13 local children’s organizations.

Our fundraising strategy has also evolved:

  • Margarita Ball: Now open to the public, this event remains a fundraising cornerstone, generating funds through ticket sales, sponsorships, and auctions.

  • Spring Golf Tournament & Christmas in July Happy Hour: These events diversify our revenue streams and engage different community segments.
